My Review

I was prepared to not feel as strongly for Rubi as I did for Lexi (Reckless), but boy was I wrong.  Rubi seemed to suck me in even more than I could have imagined.  Where Lexi is cautious from experience, Rubi is seriously damaged by the neglect of her father and people who have hurt her in the past.  And Wes, well in Reckless, he seemed the ultimate goof.  Skye turns the loveable goof into a bonifide hero and all around great guy.  Still sexy, still smoking hot, but with edges, dimension and depth.  

Rubi is super smart, a programming genius with a heart of gold to those she loves.  But men are not people she normally trusts.  She is either friends with them or sleeps with them - just once.  Rubi need to overcome and trust that Wes is not going to let her fall through the trapdoor and that he can be both her friend and her lover.

By the end of this book, I was heartily cheering for them both.  I love how Skye Jordan brought them to the edge of the cliff and instead of falling, they flew!

My Review

Five stars is not enough to rate this book.  I would need at least an 11!!  Skye Jordan tells a moving and emotional story filled with laughter, angst, misunderstandings and HOT sex scenes.  I fell in love with both Lexi and Jax and could not put this book down.  I almost burned dinner, ignored my family and was immersed in the world of stunts and haute couture.  

Lexi comes from a poverty so intense, most of us would have little to no actual understanding of her life.  Jax is the polar opposite, growing up with everything.  How these two mesh is amazing and heartwarming.  I can't wait to read book 2, Rebel!!

Ok, now that I have your attention *oh boy*.  This is my first post, so be gentle with me.  I thought I would start with a quick review I did for Bittersweet by Noelle Adams.

I LOVED this book.

This book had me hooked from the beginning. It is a boy loves girl, girl is oblivious to boy and marries someone else, boy and girl reconnect story. The story is about Zoe and her friend Adam. Zoe is fun and outgoing and Adam is the typical introverted shy guy. They have lunch together for 5 years...until Zoe meets Josh, Adam's cousin. Then, they drift apart. Noelle does an amazing job showing all of the angst and fear Zoe feels, as well as the insecurity and fear in Adam. This is a book that I would definitely recommend and I plan on re-reading.
